$1.34 billion on one ticket Jackpot Mega Millions

Mega Millions said one winning ticket was sold at a Speedway in Des Plaines, Illinois. One ticket matched Friday's six numbers. The winning numbers were 67, 45, 57, 36, 13, and 14.

Last-minute purchases boosted the prize from $1.28 billion to $1.34 billion, Illinois lottery director Harold Mays announced Saturday.
The award is $780 million, he stated.

"We don't know whether they won. I advise everyone to verify their ticket," he added, stressing that a winner may need a few weeks to "get their affairs in order.""

Only the third time in the game's 20-year history has the jackpot hit $1 billion. No ticket matched all six numbers chosen Tuesday night, therefore the prize grew to an estimated $1.28 billion

Since the Mega Millions jackpot was last won in Tennessee on April 15, there have been over 28.1 million winning tickets, including 42 for $1 million or more in 17 states.

Mega Millions prizes start at $20 million and climb with sales and interest. Despite rising ticket sales, the chances of winning remain 1 in 303 million.
