550K Pounds of Chicken Recalled

Things change so fast. On April 29, the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the US Department of Agriculture recalled over 30,000 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken.

Wayne Farms expanded their chicken breast fillet recall on May 7. The recall currently totals 585,030 pounds.

The USDA believes the supposedly ready-to-eat chicken may be undercooked.

The notification lists the recalled items in detail. The case and packaging all have the establishment number “EST. 20214”.

In each nine-pound container, there are 12 four-ounce “ALL NATURAL FIRE GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST” packets.
