A Response To The Viral Yankees Trade Rumor From MLB World

The New York Yankees are attempting to acquire another player before the trade deadline of Aug. 2.

Luis Castillo was coveted by the Yankees, but on Friday night, the Cincinnati Reds dealt the two-time All-Star to the Seattle Mariners.

The Yankees appear to have focused their attention on Frankie Montas of the Oakland Athletics and Jose Quintana of the Pittsburgh Pirates now that Castillo is no longer a viable option.

This year, Montas has a 3.18 ERA and a 4-9 record. Quintana, on the other hand, has a 3.50 ERA, a 3-5 record, and 89 strikeouts.

Twitter responses indicate that some supporters are not entirely confident in Montas or Quintana's ability to improve the Yankees.

However, some people are optimistic that Brian Cashman would sign a seasoned pitcher before the deadline.
