AL contenders trade, Padres close Hader

Will Smith will pitch for the Astros. Odorizzi, an 11-year major-league veteran, has a 4-3 record and 3.75 ERA in 12 starts for the Astros. Smith has a 4.38 ERA in 41 relief appearances this season.

Milwaukee Brewers obtain Matt Bush from the Texas Rangers hours after acquiring Taylor Rogers from the Padres in the Josh Hader trade. Mark Mathias and Antoine Kelly are headed to Texas.
