Apple eliminates mask requirements for most employees

According to an internal email acquired by The Verge from Apple's COVID-19 response team, the company is no longer requiring corporate staff to wear masks.

In the email, it is said, "Don't hesitate to continue using a face mask if you feel better doing so." It is important that you respect the choice made by each individual whether or not to wear a mask.

In the wake of a surge in the highly transmissible BA.5 COVID-19 mutation, the company has decided to take action

As of this week, Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) has reinstated its mandatory face mask policy.

Apple began requiring certain employees to return to the office in April, but did not execute its complete hybrid model,

which would have required three days of in-person work for all employees, every week.
