Wash the lentils and cook them in the cooker for two to three whistles.
Then blend the green chili, ginger, tomato, garlic, and onion into a puree.

Add the coconut powder, asafoetida, whole coriander, mustard seeds, and cumin seeds when the oil has heated. Add puree now and cook it.

Red chile and turmeric are added to the gravy. For two to three days, add the cooked dal and let it simmer.

Roast the baati until it becomes pink over a low heat. The bati should now be covered in ghee and served with Mansoori dal and green chutney.
