Some people can still work from home, but others have to go outside and deal with the heat, which can make people feel dizzy and thirsty if they don't take precautions.

Certain plants and herbs are useful as the temperature rises. When ingested as a beverage, they may chill, hydrate, and keep us healthy.

Kokum, or garcinia indica, controls pitta body heat and acidity. This mangosteen family plant is refreshing and perfect for summer. It aids digestion and may be used in juice or curries.


This superfood comes from India. Sattu naturally cools the body and is rich in protein, fiber, calcium, iron, manganese, and magnesium.


Cumin seeds promote digestion and reduce gas, acidity, and bloating.
When blended with water, jaljeera is a delightful drink in India. Traditional preparation in a Matka renders it alkaline.


Mangoes are a source of vitamins B and C and bioactive polyphenols that prevent oxidative stress. Flavonoids in the fruit have anti-inflammatory properties.
