Kurt Busch will not compete in the third straight NASCAR race in Michigan.

Kurt Busch will miss at least three races in the NASCAR season.Busch said on Wednesday that he would be absent from Michigan's Cup Series race on Sunday.

Busch missed the races at Pocono and the Indianapolis road course after what seemed to be a concussion during qualifying at Pocono. 

Busch said in a statement that he will not compete in the NASCAR Cup Series race this weekend at Michigan International Speedway even though 

he is "continue to make improvements every day" and "can't wait to get back in the No. 45 Monster Energy Toyota Camry TRD."

"I'm confident Ty will carry on representing 23XI and the No. 45 Monster Energy squad in Michigan very well. I am putting a lot of effort into getting back to 100 percent,

 and my goal is to drive again at Richmond Raceway. I appreciate everyone's support, and I anticipate getting back on track soon.
