Mother of Texas gunman says son was 'not a monster,' could be 'aggressive'

The mother of the 18-year-old shooter accused of murdering 21 at a Texas elementary school told ABC News her son was "not a monster" but "aggressive."

"I had an uneasy feeling sometimes, like 'what are you up to?" Adriana Reyes told ABC News' Chief National Correspondent Matt Gutman in an interview at her home.

Salvador Ramos, Reyes' son, reportedly bought two assault weapons after turning 18 and used them to carry out the second-deadliest school massacre in U.S. history.

Law enforcement officials say that the attack killed 21 people, including 19 third- and fourth-graders.

Also, two teachers were killed. Another 17 people were hurt, and three police officers were among them.

Police say that Ramos' grandmother was the first person the accused gunman shot, and she is in the hospital in stable condition.
