NFL World Reacts To News About Tyrann Mathieu

Tyrann Mathieu, a safety with the New Orleans Saints, was absent from the first week of training camp due to a personal issue.

The most recent status report on him, fortunately for the squad, is really positive.

Dennis Allen, the head coach of the Saints, told reporters earlier this week that he was unsure about Mathieu's return date.

When asked if there is a time when the Saints need Mathieu back in camp, Allen responded, "There is a period where that is the case. We're not there, I believe.

We're kind of giving him room to take care of what he needs to take care of, and when he's ready to return, we'll be waiting here with open arms.

Mathieu, 30, finished the 2021 season with 76 tackles, six passes defended, three interceptions, and one sack.
