Plant-based meat absorbs less than animal-based meat.

Veganism is a path that many people are taking to protect animals. They try not to eat things like meat, eggs, milk, and so on that come from animals.

Despite being the greatest source of protein, many individuals avoid animal products. They're using plant-based protein. Can it replace animal protein?

A new study suggests that the protein in plant-based alternatives to meat might not be as easy for human cells to use as protein from real meat.

The Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry found that synthetic meat, such as soy-based vegetarian meat, does not provide adequate nourishment for human cells.

The lab-based study cultured human intestinal cells in two chambers on a platform.

Then, they used chicken breast enzymes and enzymes from plant-based meat to see how protein was absorbed in each chamber separately.
