Reinstatement of the principal of the Texas school where the tragedy occurred

Three days after she was suspended with pay after critiques of her school's security by a congressional committee.

The principal of the Texas school where the nation's bloodiest classroom shooting in a decade occurred was restored on Thursday.

Superintendent Hal Harrell restored Mandy Gutierrez, who had been suspended with pay as principle of Robb Elementary School by the Uvalde school system on Monday.

Committee members reinstated Gutierrez after he sent a letter to them disputing major conclusions that a "culture of complacency" had formed at school.

Which enabled a shooter to enter the school and murder 19 students and two teachers, and that he had been fired.

When a janitor went to check on the fourth-grade classroom door the night before the May 24 shooting, the lock was working, she claimed.
