Reported MLB Trade Agreement Between the Dodgers and Cubs

According to reports, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs traded for veteran pitcher Chris Martin.

This season, Martin played in 34 games for the Cubs. The 36-year-old right-hander had 40 strikeouts through 31.1 innings worked, a 4.31 ERA, and a 1-0 win-loss record.

Prior to the 2022 season, Martin agreed to a one-year contract with Chicago; nonetheless, he will finish the year with the Dodgers.

Due to extensive usage following the All-Star break, four of the Dodgers' eight relievers were unavailable for Tuesday night's game against the Washington Nationals.

Prior to the 2022 deadline, it was obvious that the Los Angeles organisation desperately needed more bullpen depth.

With a 67-32 record, the Dodgers have a commanding lead in the NL West. They will undoubtedly need depth on the mound as the loaded LA team prepares for what may be another World Series push.
