Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant scored a century against England on Friday at Edgbaston in Birmingham (July 01).
After England won the toss and ordered India to bat first, India struggled on Day 1. Pant and Ravindra Jadeja rallied India.
Pant batted fifth when India was 64/3 in 23 overs. Pant joined Jadeja in the middle to steady the ship for the visitors after Kohli (11) and Iyer (15) departed.
Pant looked great as he played around with the England bowling attack, even though India was under a lot of pressure after losing half of its team on 98.
Pant eclipsed Dhoni's mark of 93 balls in the Faisalabad Test against Pakistan with his exploits on Friday.
Pant has scored four hundred in Test cricket and needs one more to tie Dhoni's record.
