The world's most valuable diamond, has it just been discovered?

This 5.11-carat crimson beauty is the biggest cut diamond on the earth, making it one of the rarest coloured diamonds. 

 In the 1990s, a Brazilian farmer found the Red Shield in the Abzetezinho River.

 The diamond trader Shlomo Moussaieff acquired it in 2001 for an unknown cost. It was formerly known as the Red Shield.

 Currently, the diamond is valued at over $20 million.Angola's Lulo mines, which are known for their abundance of diamonds, just produced the biggest pink diamond found in the last 300 years. 

The Pink Star diamond, a 132.5-carat rough diamond that was reduced to a 59.6-carat polished version, sold for $71.2 million at an auction in 2017 and is considered the closest comparison for this superb stone.
